Teachers in my school have used Edmodo with much success. Although I can't guarantee that some on this list won't be blocked at your school, take a look and see if any of them interest you. I first learned about Internet projects when I took a class about technology integration. The teacher of the course, Dr. Donald J. Leu explained to us that Internet projects involve collaboration between classrooms, usually to solve a common problem.
